Benedetta has lived in Novara for 15 years and worked at a textile company. On February 28, 2020, she is diagnosed with breast cancer, 7 cm breast car- cinoma. The surgery already planned for April is moved up a month, and her hospital stay lasts only a few days. During the postoperative period she meets the man who will become her future husband, Marco. Within a year of the life-changing news, her daughter is born. It is with the beginning of breastfeeding that the fears and difficulties associated with accepting her new “flat and incomplete” body materialize. But while the breast implant re- affirms that feeling of inadequacy that pervades her, it also represents re- venge. Nowadays, Benedetta can boast months of exclusive breastfeeding from one breast, a great victory.
